EXTERIOR DOOR FRAME OPTIONS
Every ProVia entry door system is assembled within a frame that serves the basic purpose of supporting the sides and top of the doorway. Beyond this basic functionality, door frames can be engineered for specific purposes, including combating the elements or providing additional security. ProVia offers four exterior door frame options, each addressing unique needs.
Preventing water absorption
FRAMESAVER®
FrameSaver includes a wood frame and brickmold with a finger-jointed composite bottom. This protective composite bottom helps prevent water absorption that can lead to frame rot. FrameSaver carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty when used with PVC vinyl coated aluminum frame cladding outside, or is also available with smooth cladding.
Prefinished, maintenance-free peace of mind
FUSIONFRAME®
FusionFrame is a one-of-a-kind alternative to composite or wood jambs. This component combines the strength of an LVL (laminated veneer lumber) interior, the rot-proof performance of a FrameSaver® bottom, and the durability of a composite frame exterior. FusionFrame offers a lifetime jamb warranty* and comes prefinished as a textured or smooth frame that can be painted or stained to match your entry door.

Composite frame system
PERMATECH™
Our PermaTech™ composite exterior door frame system combines all the strength and convenience of wood with enhanced properties that make it moisture and insect resistant. PermaTech will not absorb or wick moisture, will never rot or splinter, and is covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.*

The strength of steel
STEEL L-FRAME
ProVia’s 18-gauge steel L-frame option includes a 12-gauge hinge plate welded onto the frame for extra strength and security. An aluminum door stop provides greater durability than wood, and energy-efficient weatherstripping helps keep drafts out. Steel L-Frame is available on select Signet® and Legacy™ door styles.
Not tested for Certified Wind Load or Impact Shield regions. Not all Steel L-Frames are ENERGY STAR® certified.
