HOW TO CLEAN STONE VENEER
ProVia manufactured stone veneer offers beautiful curb appeal with minimal maintenance. How to clean stone veneer best is by removing dirt or debris, which can typically be done using a light spray or rinse with water. If stubborn dirt persists, wet the stone using a spray bottle filled with warm water and a bit of mild detergent, and scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush. Be sure to rinse off any residue from the detergent.
If moisture is present behind the stone, it can migrate to the surface and deposit salt, creating a white stain called efflorescence that may dissolve on its own when the moisture is controlled.
Do not use wire brushes, acids or vinegars to clean your manufactured stone veneer, and do not pressure wash or sandblast. Sealing is not required or recommended; if you choose to use a sealant, make sure it is a silane siloxane-based breathable masonry sealer. Test on a small inconspicuous area first.
Dust that gathers on interior stone surfaces may be removed with light suction using your vacuum’s brush attachment.
