BEFORE OUR NAME WAS PROVIA
Bill Mullet and his brother Andrew bought a local producer and retailer of aluminum storm doors and windows in Walnut Creek, Ohio named Hochstetler Door & Window. They moved the business a few miles away to a rented city garage in Sugarcreek, Ohio.

NAME CHANGED TO PRECISION DOOR & GLASS
Bill becomes the sole owner and changes the name to Precision Door & Glass.

PRECISION ENTRY
Precision Door & Glass sold their storm door and window lines to focus solely on the entry door business, and changed their name to Precision Entry.

FIBERGLASS ENTRY DOORS
Fiberglass entry doors were introduced.

SUGARCREEK WINDOW & DOOR
Precision Entry purchased assets of Sugarcreek Window & Door, which produced high-quality aluminum storm doors and windows; vinyl windows and patio doors; and wood+vinyl windows and patio doors. The name was changed to Sugarcreek Industries, Inc.

TRACTOR TRAILERS
Tractor trailers with air-ride suspension systems were first used by the company to deliver both Precision Entry and Sugarcreek Industries products on the same trucks.

ENTRYLINK LAUNCHED
ProVia introduced entryLINK to better serve the needs of customers. An end-to-end solution, entryLINK supports ProVia customers from the in-home sale through after-sale support.

MONARCH I.G.
Precision bought an automated glass insulating line and formed Monarch I.G., Inc. (in Cambridge, OH) to supply insulating glass to both Precision Entry & Sugarcreek Industries. In 2003, Monarch I.G. moved to Baltic, OH. The Baltic facility currently produces insulated glass and Art Glass and assembles a growing variety of decorative glass.

SPECTRUM™ STORM DOORS
Sugarcreek Industries introduced Spectrum storm doors featuring an exclusive top and bottom InVent™ retractable screen that is stored inside the frame.

UNITED UNDER ONE BRAND
Precision Entry, Sugarcreek Industries, and Monarch I.G. were officially united under the new corporate name, ProVia Door. The ProVia name represents the company’s creation of a new category of products; professional-class doors.

SIGNET® FIBERGLASS DOORS
ProVia introduced Signet fiberglass doors. Far superior to traditional fiberglass doors, Signet offers robust hardwood stiles and rails dovetailed at each corner.

HEARTLAND BUILDING PRODUCTS
After ProVia purchased Heartland Building Products in 2008, the siding business was relaunched as Heartland Siding by ProVia, with the goal of becoming the exterior cladding industry leader in products and service.

AERIS™ VINYL WINDOWS
ProVia introduced Aeris windows and patio doors, an exclusive collection of next-generation vinyl windows and patio doors with real wood interiors.

BRIAN MILLER PROMOTED TO PRESIDENT
With a focus on succession planning to carry on ProVia’s purpose, vision, and mission, Bill Mullet promoted Brian Miller to the role of President.

HERITAGE STONE PURCHASED
ProVia Door purchased Heritage Stone, located in Zanesville, OH, and renamed it Heritage Stone by ProVia. Today, ProVia’s stone manufacturing facility is located in Sugarcreek, OH.

WALNUT CREEK EXPANSION
Square footage of the Walnut Creek facility was doubled to support the continued growth of ProVia entry doors. This expansion incorporated the latest efficiency and quality control systems while enhancing ProVia’s ability to support customization. Additionally, office and meeting spaces were added, the distribution/shipping area was expanded, and equipment for product testing was added to the engineering lab.

BILL MULLET RETIRED
After leading ProVia for 38 years, Bill Mullet retired and promoted Brian Miller from President to President & CEO.

NEW WINDOW & PATIO DOOR PROGRAM
Not content with the status quo, ProVia extensively researched the product needs of dealers and homeowners and developed a complete lineup of vinyl windows and patio doors: ecoLite™, Aspect™, and Endure™.

UNITED UNDER THE PROVIA BRAND
ProVia brought all its products, including recent acquisitions of siding and stone businesses, under one brand: ProVia.

NEW STONE MANUFACTURING FACILITY
All stone manufacturing moved to a brand new 300,000 square feet manufacturing facility in Sugarcreek, Ohio. ProVia stone products utilize a proprietary mold-making process to authentically reproduce stone veneer in our streamlined pouring and packing production lines.

NEW WINDOW MANUFACTURING FACILITY
To meet a growing demand for the expanded window program, construction of a 365,970 square-foot manufacturing facility began in March 2019 in Strasburg, Ohio, and was completed in May 2020. This new facility included 28,500 square feet of office space.

METAL ROOFING PRODUCT LINE
ProVia launched a new metal roofing product line, which combines the luxury and beauty of slate or cedar shakes with the durability and longevity of a galvanized, highly-engineered steel roof system. Produced at ProVia’s Booneville facility, this high-performance metal shake and slate roofing is engineered to perform and maintain its good looks longer than any other asphalt, wood, slate or metal roofing product.

NEW FLEET MAINTENANCE FACILITY
ProVia purchased a Fleet Maintenance facility in Dover, OH. This facility is nearly 21,000 square feet, has 8 bays, plus a wash bay.

SOLAR INSTALLATION AT CHERRY RIDGE FACILITY
This solar array is among the largest privately owned in Ohio. It consists of 4,480 panels, generating 1.792 megawatts of power–reducing electrical power consumption at this facility by 60% annually.

WALNUT CREEK FACILITY EXPANSION
A 170,000 square feet expansion was completed to accommodate a new steel door line. This highly-automated production line provided increased speed and efficiency. The picking process for steel door skins was automated and included a vertical storage system, which maximizes use of floor space.

STRASBURG FACILITY EXPANSION
A 425,000-square-foot space was added, allowing ProVia to expand from three to nine window production lines, double glass production, and add new capabilities including manufacturing for FlexScreen® and shaped windows, plus a new paint line.

NEW PHILADELPHIA LOCATION
ProVia purchased the assets of Premier Profile Lamination, Inc. (PPL) of Youngstown, Ohio, a laminator of PVC components for the door and window industry. ProVia worked with PPL for many years in support of the window and patio door product lines. The acquisition allowed for further development in product innovation, quality, and durability. The lamination operation was moved to ProVia’s New Philadelphia location which was purchased in 2021.

HARBOR MILL™ SHAKE AND SHINGLE SIDING
ProVia introduced Harbor Mill Shake and Shingle siding, allowing remodelers, builders and architects to offer homeowners the rustic look of traditional rough-sawn shingle and staggered hand-split shake, minus the expense and high maintenance of cedar.

BARREL TILE METAL ROOFING
Barrel Tile metal roofing was introduced. This metal roofing profile has the stylish look of authentic Spanish clay tile and the strength, longevity, and performance of steel.

NEW FACILITIES IN DALTON
In November 2024 ProVia purchased two facilities in Dalton, Ohio. The transaction included one 303,000 square feet facility and one 26,000 square feet facility. Beginning in 2026, these properties will provide additional production capacity for ProVia entry doors.

OFFICE REMODEL
Following the renovation of the production space in 2023, ProVia embarked on a remodel of the front office area at the New Philadelphia facility, which included a conference room and product showroom area.

THIN BRICK INTRODUCED
ProVia added Thin Brick to our manufactured stone product offering, allowing remodelers, builders, and architects to offer customers the time-honored look and versatile design options of classic brick.

MILLION MILE CLUB
The Million Mile Club was established. The criteria for being considered for induction into the Million Mile Club include driving at least one million consecutive miles without a preventable incident. Three ProVia Truck Drivers were inducted in this initial class.

ASCENT FIBERGLASS ENTRY DOORS
ProVia launched Ascent, a premium fiberglass entry door line inspired by the beauty of authentic White Oak. Featuring a thicker fiberglass skin, exceptional craftsmanship and over 30 door styles, Ascent delivers outstanding durability, strength and curb appeal while expanding homeowners’ design options.

SINGLE HUNG AND SINGLE SLIDER WINDOWS
The Endure™ window lineup was expanded with the introduction of Single Hung and Single Slider window styles, giving homeowners more energy-efficient, low-maintenance options without compromising performance or style.

DAVIE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
ProVia purchased a 79-acre, build-ready industrial site in Davie County, North Carolina, with plans to construct a 580,000 square foot manufacturing facility that is expected to be completed in 2028.

DOVER, OHIO
ProVia agreed to purchase 97-acres and a 310,000 square foot building currently under construction in Dover, Ohio. The building will be completed to ProVia’s specifications and is expected to become operational in 2027.
