The Importance of Consistency

Every year ProVia chooses a word that becomes a theme we focus on, and we communicate amongst our various teams regarding its meaningfulness and importance to our organization. For 2025 the word is “Consistency,” and I’ll share why this is an area we prioritize.

Sometimes, when people hear the term “consistency” they interpret this as “doing the same thing over and over again,” but for me, it goes well above and beyond that idea. I believe consistency means there are certain things we do that represent big ideas that help us navigate our course, and are key initiatives we pay attention to and repeat from year to year.

At ProVia we have several things we do consistently, including the annual cadence of our strategic planning process, the ongoing implementation of our purpose, vision, mission and values, and the continuous evolution of our Leadership Development Initiative (LDi).

Let’s look at the LDi as an example of how we apply consistency. This program is focused on developing the skills of leaders within our organization so they can provide meaningful support to employees under their care. We consider leadership development to be a key contributing factor in fostering the success of our company. Because of the LDi, we’ve had leaders prepared and ready to go when they’re needed, as growth presents us with opportunities.

We’re consistent in nurturing the LDi through ongoing investment in training, coursework and developmental activities that grow individuals into effective leaders. Consistency also means that this is not a one-off initiative; it’s now an essential part of who we are and what we do. By pouring our energies and resources into programs such as this we’re able to continuously improve various aspects of them, ultimately resulting in enhanced effectiveness over time.
